Anne Marie Mazzu

Anne Marie Mazzu focuses her practice in estate planning, estate administration, federal and state taxation, and related matters. Anne Marie’s estate and trust administration services include, but are not limited to, probate matters, preparation of federal and state estate tax returns, gift tax returns, post-mortem planning techniques, estate and gift tax examinations, asset transfers, preparation of accountings, representation of fiduciaries, and fiduciary income tax planning.

Anne Marie assists clients with developing estate plans which utilize Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney and Living Wills, and more complex estate planning tools such as irrevocable trusts, and various grantor trusts. Anne Marie advises clients, who seek to create, coordinate and develop gift plans and charitable gift plans. Anne Marie also handles tax controversy matters on both the state and federal level including, but not limited to income, employment and sales tax matters for businesses, closely-held businesses, not-for-profits and individuals.

Anne Marie received her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law (1989) and her LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law (1993). She received her B.A. from Douglass College, Rutgers University (1985). She is a member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association, and the Douglass College Gift Planning Committee.

December 2, 2017 – DEMP Estate Planning Partners Anne Marie Mazzu and Christina Hardman O’Neal will be hosting an exhibit table at this year’s NAMI-NJ Conference on Saturday, December 2ndrd. The event will take place at the Ramada Conference Center in Jamesburg, NJ (formerly Crowne Plaza Monroe). October 19, 2017 -The firm will be hosting an exhibit table at the 35th Annual Autism New Jersey Conference in Atlantic City on October 19-20. Tax and Estate Planning Partners Christina Hardman-O’Neal and Anne Marie Mazzu will be on hand to answer questions. The conference offers workshops on diverse topics ranging from instructional strategies to state service systems to advocacy. Caregivers and professionals may benefit from information pertaining to individuals of all ages and varying abilities.

December 3, 2016 – Members from our Tax and Estate Planning Department will be exhibiting at the annual NAMI-NJ Conference on Saturday, December 3rd. NAMI New Jersey (NAMI NJ) is a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness. The conference offers a day of insightful presentations, workshops and opportunities for networking among those with live experience of mental illness, their family members and caregivers, mental health advocates and providers.

May 3, 2016 – Anne Marie Mazzu, a Partner in the Tax and Estate Planning Department at Davison, Eastman & Munoz, will give a presentation to members of the Greater Monmouth Chamber of Commerce’s Women In Business group on Tuesday, May 3. She will speak on estate planning for parents of children with disabilities, including what to consider regarding trusts, guardianships and long-term care.
